A bit of weekend fun i indulged in .....who says preggy dressing has to be boring????

People say life changes after marriage…….mine has been a rollercoaster of sorts since the day I met my husband….our marriage was arranged…yes we got hitched in the traditional wayJ there is an old world charm attached to the whole thing of “arrange marriage”…..the relatives & friends…the ceremonies chaos and of course the dressing up part……just as any other girl I loved every bit of it…….

Was totally enjoying “being married” part till life sprung up another surprise…yes they declared I was expecting…the first reaction….so soon?? My god how would I manage….its a huge responsibility but thanks to the guy on my side everything turned into one of the most cherished time of my life………J

And then as a part of another list of surprises..here m sitting in Melbourne….almost a month away from delivering my first one blogging….life is unpredictable and surely springs surprises…….this one is pleasant to be precise…..

Being a mommy bringes changes..the most obvious being the physical one…….it does hit u wen u pile on those kilos to the body though only few brave ones admit it but tell u wat….wen u experience the little movements..The sense of life being in the womb…..it’s plain magic…it struck me for the first time …the feeling of turning from a woman into a mom…..& from that day onwards my love & respect for my own mom grew leaps & bounds..Mom’s r special & tailor made for kids I guess……J

Actually it isn’t a smooth ride but a bumpy one …a whole gamut of emotions surround you….anxious, happy, frustrating …to sum it up “overwhelming”……

M eagerly waiting for the ultimate thing……the whole process of giving birth and the powerful feeling which engulfs everything else including the very intellect & thought process that governs a being!!

Physical alteration to the body means lot of “shopping”J….which is a great thing..the first thing my gynac said to me when the early signs of bump started appearing “ good news for u….its time to do lot of shopping”………pick comfy clothes which allow free movement….maternity fashion adds a whole new dimensions as u can explore with a whole new range of empire cut dresses..if u r the more conservative kinds then "a line" can be ur pick……m dying to buy those maxi dresses, they look gr8 on u besides being super comfy…….Indian maternity fashion is also picking up with retail outfits such as “mom & me” and “morph maternity” offering both Indian & well as western outfits including formal skirts & trousers with specially belly belt which offers an amazing fit besides being comfortable!!!As for the footwear ballerinas look great….carlton flats r my personal pick though ethinic chapals can make the outfit look interesting any day..invest in scraves,stoles junk jewellery & handbags…….accessorizing an outfit makes u look gud anyday n hides all those uncomfy areas which u want to divert attention fromJ……sleep tee and comfy pj’s are other essentials u should invest in…………………enjoy this time as this is a unique experience in itself………pamper yourself…get a new haircut….it does wonders to your look & self confidence…….spend time with girlfriends……… “Gossips and good food” always lighten up the blues…even the preggy sicknessJ

Being pregnant means u wud have to go a bit easy on the career….but the little one u hold in ur arms make every effort u make so worth it……take your own sweet time but yes being pregnant completes the women in u…and adds a whole new dimension to it .i.e. “mommyhood” …..a sense of accomplishment in adding a new life to this world which means much more than a raise in the salary or an empty award trophy to carry home placed in one corner of your showcase….how very magical & lucky of god to bestow us “women” with this wonderful giftJ
