freaky baba & self promotion techniques!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am reminded of an old film song “it happens only in India….by anand raj anand” when I see the current political pandemonium & the key players enacting the evil and the good part. Isn’t the prime issue being put on the back burner with petty internal politics & jealousies taking over…….

India was once known as the land of snake charmers & sadhus ,then economic reforms & liberalization attained the centre stage…suddenly India was emerging as a third world superpower with a human capital ,a booming economy ,huge commercial market yet explored and intelligence quotient as good as the so called developed nations .yes the issue of corruption still plagued us Indians all this while and as concerned citizens we wanted this issue to be tackled strongly and cleansed out of the prevailing political & economic system yet the current scenario of events unfolding dangerously are putting India as an economic power waiting to be taken over by eccentric babas…….

Yes u got it right!!m talking about baba ramdev…..m not personally against him nor have any intention to malign him in whatsoever way still I can’t fathom his uncomfortable involvement & prominence he has thus gained from the issue of corruption with the main issue itself being put on the back burner subsequently. I mean if he was solely interested in raising a voice & thereby making a difference in the fight against corruption supporting the likes of anna hazare would have been enough. This whole business of hogging the limelight by threatening to indefinite fast until death scares me……what comes across out of all this is a desperate man trying to establish a forced order and principles which are highly idealistic in nature but far from being pratical. Yes he makes a lot of sense when he talks about yogic asans and ways to relieve stress & adopt a healthy lifestyle. A big chunk of population has benefited from his asans & yogic practices. Plus his medicines did a world of good to the thousands of middle class homes. All this suddenly caught imagination of both the Indian media & the western world!!!!

Baba was on his way of achieving cult status……..he sat on an indefinite fast…gathered his sizeable flock of supporters……the govt was in a fix…that’s what he wanted….garnering media limelight (as astha & sadhna channel were not enough)the ministers were summoned to pacify him & stop him from going on a hunger strike…after all no one wanted another shake up after the recent anna hazare fast……….n then story mein twist…..kapil sibal strips the baba of the morality & ethics he blabbed all this while about……showing the india media & the people a letter from the baba’s front that the fast would come to an end itself in two days…….gosh this was anti climax and suddenly baba turned the quintessential Indian hero threatening to go with the fast……..ramlila ground witnessed a drama which had all the indregients of a masala bollywood flick…..the draconian govt with all the police force beating the shit out of poor baba & his hapless supporters……..maybe baba thought he wont be subject to such a treatment but when madam wields the stick……everyone has to abide…even 10 janpath!!!!!baba had to run for life in a woman follower’s saree……….ewwwwww how gross can it get… “Bearded lady”………………and then he was banished away from delhi & they wont let him come back…not yet..poor baba won sympathy of his strongest of detractors too….everybody (read political parties waiting like hungry scavengers trying to grab that every inch of limelight this incident had to follow) condemned it…..….but the Indian people had just lost it by then…the main issue…corruption & black money was put on the backburner………………m sorry babaji but Indian ppl just are tired & disgusted at the way things are preceding!!!!! N no u can no way be the answer to the current problem………an anna hazare is far revered & respected with a sane attitude to lead this fight against corruption……….we have enough of masala flicks to entertain us and we certainly do not enjoy this on our political front!!!!!!!!!!!do us a favour…..stop irritating us & stay away from this mess……there are loads of saner, in sync with the issue people waiting in the wings...indian democracy the maa of all functional democracies has survived tough times & still remained strong all dis while....................political leaderships,some efficient..some inefficient come & go but the democracy stays strong and upright as ever!!!!

Baba has been reduced to being another wannabe trying to establish his supremacy in the girth of Indian politics……..he is irritating for god sake…..his five goals of attaining “bharat swabhiman at best can be remarked as highly unrealistic. We do not like some freaky baba instructing us how to run our country….or does he think if his yoga can cure diabetes,cancer,AIDS....Yes he claimed tht!!!!!!!!imagine...........then why not corruption?????He thinks homosexuals are sick........take a life man!!!!!!!!!!! i mean how could we have ever allowed him to assume an important place in the political centre stage......... and as far as the serious issues concerning corruption there is a machinery existing in the form of great Indian democracy and it has survived the test of time enough for the indian public to put faith into it...........................

Let there be lokpal bill…..and civil society involvement & strictest of the enforcement of this law but let’s pray it does not get lost in the mayhem like the Indian democracy has witnessed in last few weeks!!!! Still having faith in the young new breed of politicians…………wud they please wake up & take the reins in their own hands before india gets pushed into the age of snake charmers & holy babas ……….
