Perhaps the most indispensible beings in one's life after family!!:)they share your sorrows,hopes,dreams and sometimes closet(well many times if its about making an impression on someone special!!!!!!!),they r the one's who u turn to wen u have emergency situations........a bad fight at work or with your guy........a clothes emergency wen u totally in want of something gud to wear n guess u just cant find the right piece for that family friends wedding u have to attend tommorow..........a makeup or hairdo gone horribly wrong!!!!m sure if i sit to jot down the list it wud go endless.....:) u just connect with them...a casual smile or a warm conversation can start it all.....sometimes though things do not start on a sugary note but then as the time grows affection grows..they kinda just grow on u!!!!!u hateeee some of their traits..common guys..its ok to admit......n u have told them a million times about this but all this falls on deaf ears.........still wen u r at ur worst..soggy eyes... disheveled self...they r the ones u need the most.......just a phone call is gud enuf to make u sit up from your bed n get urself smthng to eat...which means things r returning back to normal...i guess the saying " friends are the family u choose for yourself" stands sooo true...in today's world when the perception of relatives other than your immediate family having undergone a sea change...with people moving out of the comfort of their hometowns to bigger cities in search of better lifestyles & affordability levels...
friends are the ones who fill in the vaccumm of the family........the one's who wud scold u to no end at making blunders yet wud not stand someone else saying bad words abt u..........Some are your shopping budds,some the weekend getaway partners,some office gossip partners......some all rolled into one..........
Through this blog i thank all those wonderful ppl who stood by me thru thick n thin........picked up fights with me which got solved in a jiffy with a tight warm hug....who scolded me 4 being such a shopoholic that i am..n made me choose better deals...those who lended an ear to my issues wen i was down n low......with whom i had some real wonderful & cherished moments spent in asr,delhi n chandigarh....without taking names...coz there is a big long list of names & it wont fit in here:) a big thanks for defining the word "friendship" for me.......lucky to have ppl like u as my Friends..........................................

The art of making perfect "Chickpea Masala"

I come from a Punjabi family but the food prepared in my parents household is not your typical spicy Punjabi food.When i got married to my husband,i was introduced to the typical Punjabi khana .i.e. Dal makhani,Cholle masala,sarson da saag. Not that i wasen't aware of the cuisine earlier(my mum makes awesome sarson da saag) but it prompted me to explore the cuisine in depth and modify it according to our sedentary lifestyle needs. So, here's presenting the cholle masala recipe which is bound to result in compliments whenever you make it.......(trust me its tried and tested). The recipe is divided into three parts: Cooking the chickpeas Preparation of the Tadka Mixing the two together  Main ingredients required 1 1/2 cup of soaked chickpeas( put two teabags in the water with chickpeas) 1/2 cup chana dal 3 cups of water Salt to taste 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon of butter 2 medium onions(pureed) 1 1/2 medium tomatoes(pureed) 2 teaspoons of ginger gar

Its Christmas time!

Everytime I used to sit in front of the laptop, there was some disturbance or the other! Ajitesh’s started crawling a bit and sitting up already so hell of a job rests on me these days and by the end of the day m so exhausted that I usually end up dozing off at 7.30 and sometimes 8 with my baby… J this explains the reason that I have been missing from the blogging front from so long!!Btw I still tried to read  some of the fellow blogger’s posts regularly…leia from the leia delights got married recently and she looked fab in all her outfits…unconventional but pretty bride she made….tanvi from tanvii.com also had her bro’s wedding lined up and boy did she look charming!!shruti from ramp or not had a job change and a much needed spunk and zeal back in her life and posts… and purva u totally had me in splits with your “sita series” .u just can turn even a pigeon’s shit tale into a humourous piece laced up with a woman’s endless tactics to avert the situation!! lady u are a gifted write
